"I am so delighted that I have changed our yard over to Thirsty Bed.  With up to 5 horses in at night during the winter it is going to save us so much time, and also money, as Thirsty Bed is over £3 a bag cheaper than our previous bedding.  Quick and easy to muck out, it is very rewarding to see the beds looking perfect without great effort.  The bags are easy to store and lift and by mucking out correctly,

we very rarely have to top up.  The muck heap will be smaller and any discarded bedding will compost easily and provide excellent garden mulch".

....Annabel Brunner - Cambridge.

“I’ve found Thirsty Bed easy to use and very economical – used in conjunction with rubber matting it takes only a few minutes to muck out each stable and our muck heap is considerable smaller than with other types of bedding.  I would definitely recommend and now wouldn't use anything else”.

...Sarah - Lakenheath

Our opinion and thoughts - We use Chapelstone "Thirsty Bed" horse bedding and found that once you get used to it, in comparison, shavings and other bedding seems like hard work. Why? well it's harder to get the manure out of other bedding, you end up removing loads more good bedding compared to "Thirsty Bed" and our manure heap is nearly half the size it used to be greatly reducing our costs in getting it disposed of. We use it in conjunction with rubber matting and have found overall its cheaper than most other bedding, storage is simple, the bags are easy to handle and we only take 15 minutes to muck out our dirtiest horse!
